1. Orange Carrot Karma

With only 180 calories and 38 grams of sugar, the Orange Carrot Karma is not a bad snack option. It’s a mix of carrot juice, sweetened with mangos and bananas. This drink serves as an excellent source of Vitamins A and C.

protein Smoothies

Snack time? Workout time? Sounds like it’s Protein Smoothie time. Pulsating with vitamins and at least 28g of protein, these belly-filling, flavor-packed smoothies will have you begging to do a few more reps. Right arm curl. Right arm curl. Left arm curl. Keep it up, Champ.

The best juice on the Jamba Juice menu (and the worst)

While you’d think that Jamba Juice would have a diverse offering of its namesake, there are actually only three options to choose from. We picked the best and worst.

BEST: Purely Carrot

Per small (16 oz): 190 calories, 1 g fat (0 g saturated fat), 330 mg sodium, 45 g carbs (13 g fiber, 22 g sugar), 4 g protein

This juice is made from fresh carrots and nothing more. The sugar is 100% natural (from the carrots) and there’s a whopping 52% of the daily recommended amount of fiber. This juice also provides 1,580% of the daily recommended amount of vitamin A!

WORST: Purely Orange

Per large (28 oz): 390 calories, 1.5 g fat (0 g saturated fat), 10 mg sodium, 90 g carbs (2 g fiber, 73 g sugar), 6 g protein

This fresh orange juice is an overall healthy choice, but over 8 ounces is really a larger portion than necessary. At 390 calories, the large-sized orange juice has the same amount of calories you should be getting in your entire balanced breakfast.

4. Aloha Pineapple Smoothie

This smoothie is about half country orchard and half tropical fruit grove.

It combines strawberries, bananas, pineapple juice, pineapple sherbert, frozen yogurt, and ice.

It perfectly balances the sweet with the tart and tangy for an undeniably delicious flavor.

This recipe also reminds me that you can always add a spoonful of collagen peptides into any of these smoothies if you want a bit of a collagen boost in the mornings.

Step 6: Blend

Now that you’ve gotten through all that nonsense, you can mix your ingredients and blend!

Remember, if it seems too thick, use your tamper and/or add more liquid.

If your drink seems too thin, you can throw in more ice cubes.

9. Jamba Juice Mango-A-Go-Go

Mango-a-go-go is such a perfect name. I’m disappointed I didn’t think of it myself.

It also perfectly describes this smoothie, which contains mangoes, mango passion fruit juice, pineapple sherbert, and ice.

It’s every bit as tropical as the Caribbean passion smoothie – maybe even more so – but the flavor is subtly different.

Still, if you’re into tropical flavors, you’ll enjoy this one.

6. Veggie Vitality

Drinking your veggies is a whole lot easier when there are some sweet fruits thrown in the mix. This drink has fresh carrot juice, fresh apple juice, fresh spinach and kale, and chia seeds. Luckily this drink has three whole servings of vegetables in it and only 23 grams of sugar.

Where to Find Jamba

whole food nutrition Smoothies

True, you should be able to enjoy whole fruitsveggies and other whole ingredients on the go, but lugging around that giant bag of groceries all day is impractical and, frankly, weird. Grab one of these blended, balanced cups of whole food nutrition and upgrade from grocery-getter to go-getter.

Step 4: Making Raspberry Juice

If you really want this to taste right, you need raspberry juice. You can buy the one correct product out there or make it yourself.

All you really need to do is mash up your raspberries and strain out the seeds. You can use a mesh strainer or a strainer bag. I ended up using the bag, but it’s kind of a pain either way. If you use the bag, I recommend doing some at a time, if you throw too much in those bags at once it gets hard to get the liquid out.

Since this can be a bit of a pain, I recommend making a bunch of this at once and freezing what you don’t need right now in an ice cube tray or other silicon mold. Then, when you know you are going to want to make another smoothie, take out some raspberry juice cubes and let them dethaw ahead of time.

If you do freeze it, I suggest figuring out how much is in each ice cube so you know how many to dethaw when you need it.
