Anti-Christmas movies that you can watch now for free in streaming

Iron Man 3 (2013)

Robert Downey Jr. performs his superhero shenanigans in the snow in Shane Black’s divisive Iron-Man 3.

Apart from a finale filled with special effects and Christmas fireworks, we largely see Tony Stark without his super suit, as he makes his way through a festive town in America without his tech. While not explicitly anti-Christmas, there aren’t any hokey, faux-sentimental moments about the magic of the holiday season on display here.

Bad Santa (2003)

A miserable conman and his partner pose as Santa and his Little Helper to rob department stores on Christmas Eve. But they run into problems when the conman befriends a troubled kid, and the security boss discovers the plot.

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

After his parents are murdered, a tormented teenager goes on a murderous rampage dressed as Santa. A controversial, cult-classic slasher and the perfect antidote to the holiday season.

Batman Returns (1992)

Tim Burton could be considered something of a Christmas rebel with some of the movies in his back-catalogue. The Nightmare Before Christmas is a classic while even Charlie and the Chocolate Factory feature depressing festive themes. Batman Returns deserves its place on this list for having the audacity to open with a depressing Christmas Day scene where parents abandon a deformed baby and confine him to a cage in the sewers.

3. Batman Returns (HBO Max)

This is the Christmas movie that I personally recommend to you and that you can watch for free on a streaming platform . Because if you have carte blanche, I don’t know what you’re waiting for to revisit The Crystal Jungle or Gremlins in the way you like best.

In the second installment of the Dark Knight directed by Tim Burton, we find ourselves in a Christmas party full of villains such as Max Schrek, The Penguin or Catwoman . Although this phenomenal incarnation of the super evil will be ally and rival at the same time.

Christmas flavor and a memory of when Tim Burton could do real magic behind the camera.
