Steps to stretch desktop background across two monitors

Follow these steps to stretch the wallpaper across two monitors.

  1. Right-click on the desktop.
  2. Select the “Personalization” option from the menu.
  3. Select “Picture” from the Background dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the “Browse” button.
  5. Find and select the dual monitor wallpaper.
  6. Click on the “Choose picture” button.
  7. Select the wallpaper in the Settings app.
  8. Next, select “Tile” from the “Choose a fit” dropdown menu.
  9. Close the Settings app.

Detailed steps

1. You can set the wallpaper from the Personalization page in the Settings app. To open the page, right-click on the desktop and select the “Personalization” option.

2. On the personalization page, select the “Background” tab on the sidebar.

3. On the right-hand side, select the “Picture” option from the Background dropdown menu. Next, we need to select the wallpaper. To do that, click on the “Browse” button.

4. Now, find and select the wallpaper of your choi

4. Now, find and select the wallpaper of your choice. After selecting, click on the “Choose picture” option. As I said before, be sure to select a dual monitor wallpaper.

5. Now, select the wallpaper in the Settings app.

6. Since we want to stretch the wallpaper across two monitors, select the “Tile” option from the “Choose a fit” dropdown menu.

Note: don’t mind how the taskbar looks in the below image. The taskbar looks smaller on the second display because of its multi-monitor DPI settings.

Depending on the wallpaper dimensions, it might not look as you intended or wanted. That is one of the reasons why you should create or download a dual-screen wallpaper according to the current dual-monitor resolution. To get the best fit possible, I recommend you crop the image according to your dual-monitor resolution and then set the wallpaper.
